Dark secrets lurk in the Great Escape Resort…
When Tansy Silver has the weekend off for a much-needed vacation, she takes her dog Hank and best friend Millie with her. The setting is gorgeous and their airstream trailer is adorable as well. The Great Escape Resort offers a variety of RV travel trailers for guests, as well as hiking and a lazy river. Even Hank is excited about relaxing for a change.
“Your crush? You don’t look to me like you’re a shy one. What’s stopping him from being more?”
“Well, the fact that he drives me crazy… in an annoying way. Not the other way.”
“But you think he’s cute?” She quizzes me and it feels like she’s staring into my soul.
“Does anyone have their cellphone?” Luke saves me as he calls out from the camper door.
Reminding myself I’m trying to stay out of it, I’m stymied when no one but me has their phone. Shaking my head, I walk towards Luke, handing him the phone.
“Oh, no thank you. Do you know how many germs phones have? I just need you to call 911, please. Let them know we have a dead body on the property.”
And with that, my relaxing vacation comes to a screeching…
For Tansy helping the local police is second nature, even if it comes with a surprise. But getting caught in the crossfire is too much.
