Healing Human Hearts

When young widow Sarah decides to restart her career as a marketing professional after her husband’s untimely illness and death, she joins the crew of the Dogs First Rescue Center. Her main responsibility is making sure the upcoming fundraising gala goes off without a hitch. Instead, she runs into one last-minute problem after another.

Many of these problems happen because of what the handsome know-it-all, Dodge Armstrong, another volunteer at the Center, does – or doesn’t do. In the middle of it all is Stanley, the lovable but chaotic rescue hound who keeps managing to get into some sort of trouble.

Will they pull off this fundraiser event? They need it to succeed now more than ever to pay for the veterinary care of an injured mother dog and her pups that they want to rescue from a nearby community animal control facility.

With overcrowding, that facility might schedule the mom and her puppies for euthanasia rather than adoption. Meanwhile, can Stanley find a forever home? And, along the way, will Sarah and Dodge find a way to work out their relationship after a very rocky start?
